Baymont Dog Training and Happy Tails To
You Dog Training are joining forces to
present our clients with a group class for dogs who
are aggressive with other dogs.
Both of us have been doing private training with
these sorts of dogs for years. Private lessons
make it possible for us to structure the initial
training to fit each specific client and dog, to
improve their relationship, and teach them effective
handling techniques. The one sticky spot is finding
enough places for these clients to take their dogs
for much needed practice to solidify their new
skills. For some strange reason, not too many places
welcome aggressive dogs. We feel that our combined
group class will be a very satisfactory way to fill
part of this gap.
These group class will only be
available to owner/dog teams who have taken private
lessons with one or the other of us. At this point,
the classes are designed to augment, not replace,
the private lessons.
Safety, of course, will be of
paramont importance. Therefore, no children or extra
dogs will be allowed to attend. We will have very
stringent methods for bringing dogs in and out of
the building, handling them, etc. We will limit
class size to six (6) owner/dog teams. Two
behaviorists/trainers will be present at all times
to teach and supervise.
The course will consist of
six (6) one-hour lessons and cost $150. Our first
set of classes is now underway.
